Great Experience June 25, 2007

Dear Wes,

I purchased a timeshare with your company about a year ago up in Maine near Bar Harbor, called Acadia Village Resort. I had gone in on the purchase with another couple. They happen to enjoy winter sports, while my husband and I prefer summer activities. Bar Harbor is the perfect spot for all seasons, offering snowmobiling, skating, hiking and biking. I have never experienced such a beautiful National Park. There are mountains overlooking the ocean and over to Canada, all among a very quaint town, filled with great restaurants and shops.

I also want to take this time to thank your company. Going into this I was blind as to the process of how to purchase a timeshare and you guys made the whole experience very hassle-free for my husband and I. Thanks again!

Sincerely,
Joanna Wallis

Vacation Clubs June 25, 2007

One of the things you will hear people say in regards to timeshare ownership is that they are bound to one location. This is why vacation clubs are more popular then ever.

A vacation club is an organization that owns multiple properties in various locations. By being a club member you can reserve space at any of the different resorts within the organization. Typically, when you first sign-up there is an initial cost to join along with annual fees. There are also different levels of membership. Having a higher level membership may allow you priority over certain units or guaranteed larger rooms.

Here are two common ways that vacation clubs are structured:

1. The developers own the property and the club has access to the properties via a contractual relationship with the owner.
2. The Developer transfers ownership of the properties to the club after they are built. If your club membership also gives fractional ownership in the clubs, then you will own the properties indirectly through the club.
