The National Foundation for Cancer Research (NFCR) has created a new program, which excepts unwanted timeshares as gifts that can be sold with proceeds used to help fund cancer research. For those that donate, they will receive a full charitable tax deduction for the value of their gift.
There are many reasons as to why someone would want to donate their timeshare and have it taken off their hands, possibly due to family, personal or health issues. By donating your timeshare, you are forgoing the selling process and assisting in the cure for cancer.

Fairfield Glade Timeshare Suffers Fire Damage June 4, 2007

Guests were evacuated from their timeshare units at Fairfield Glade on two seperate occasions last week when fire broke out in the Oak Knoll and Laurel Ridge units. There were no serious injuries that occurred due to the fires, but some guests did lose some personal belongings in adjoining rooms that were destroyed by the smoke and flames. There is no word on what caused the fires and officials won’t give any information since the investigation is ongoing.
