The Timeshare Credit Crunch Saga: Part III December 16, 2008

The credit crunch and economic dive seems to be wedging themselves into all facets of business. Gas prices are down for the holiday season, but airfare prices are still punctuated by fuel surcharges initiated back when prices were three fold today’s. BuyATimeshare.com continues to see record sales of timeshare on the resale market. In times of distress consumers seek the best deal possible.

With no financing in sight means there is no way for the developer to convince you to buy a grossly overpriced vacation property. Wyndham had quoted that timeshare sales met expectations in October and November, despite weakness in Hawaii and Las Vegas (related to a decrease in airline capacity). Even though I cannot recall if they mentioned what those expectations were, they are projecting $1.2 billion in year 2009, rather than the $2 billion in timeshare sales in 2008.

The increases in fees without an increase of service, and with more and more resorts popping up worldwide, the diversity and options are growing every year. Wyndham’s projections can in part be blamed on the resale market; where timeshare novice and avid enthusiast can come together and save thousands of dollars on a luxurious vacation property.

With great press citing the resale market as a booming trend in timeshare, the savings are back! Big-brand developers have lost there financing and BuyATimeshare.com has ushered in the most empowering method a consumer can use when planning travel. Choose where, when, and how much you pay!

With Tammac Financial continuing to provide financing for buyers, we are seeing an increase in confirmed offers and timeshare sales. The amount of holidaymakers looking to rent or buy affordable vacation properties have not wavered at BuyATimeshare.com—especially rentals. This year people are slimming-down their leisure expenses but still vacation in luxury. Thanks to BuyATimeshare.com, it is possible to save money and still enjoy great vacationing.
