I have been honored to gain a customer today whom came to me with 3 timeshares at Diamond Resort at Point at Poipu ad#49737, 49739 and 49741. I write about her today not so much about her timeshares but about what she does. Christie is the founder of a non-profit agency “Welcome Home Foster Family” Agency. This is a thankless job. She had worked for another agency and the children fell by the waist side and they would lose track of those children. Christie didn’t like how things were set up so she started her own non-profit to help those unfortunate children that need to go into foster homes for one reason or another. She sets it up so no child gets lost in the paperwork. It is a 24 hour job. She puts the children before anything else. She has poured her heart, money and soul into this non-profit to be able to give a home for the children. YOU CAN MAKE DONATIONS OR INQUIRIES TO welcomehomeffa@hotmail.com and their non-profit license #347003987.
Thank you for ppl with hearts like Christie.

Raising for Rosie Update May 28, 2009
Posted by aturcotte in : Charity , add a commentI’de like to thank everybody who contributed to the Raising For Rosie Fundraiser in December 2008. It’s times like these that we appreciate our friends, family, and community more then ever. Rosie underwent surgery to remove the cancerous tumors in her Lungs and Chest Cavity. Though the odds were against her and the risks were almost to much to bare, the surgery was a success. After a week of rehabilitation she returned home to begin her recovery process during the last weeks of 2008. In the past five months Rosie completed her remaining five Chemo Therapy treatments. She continues her daily Radiation treatment to reduce any remaining cancerous cells in her blood stream. Each day her natural glow is more apparent and her once typical routines are now becoming a part of her life again. She was extremely excited to par take in the walk for Cancer held in Lowell on May 16Th. Though I backed out due to the torrential down pours, she completed the 3 mile course in the rain within 2 hours! Recently, they hopped on their bike and took a spin to my house here in NH. It was her first time on the motorcycle since she was diagnosed. She was very excited to finally be able to endure the position and common obstacles of riding on the back of a motorcycle. On May 1rst she finally penciled herself into the schedule of managing a popular Ice cream retreat in downtown Lowell. She works 3 days a week part time. What an achievement! She was diagnosed in August of 2008 and underwent surgery, rehabilitation, and recovery only to return back to work within 10 months! My youngest brother Ryan has returned home from Iraq to visit with her for two weeks, also her oldest son Paul and his girlfriend are expecting their first child and her second grandchild. Each day her steps to recovery become larger. Her once bright and exciting lifestyle is beginning to burn through the darkened clouds of disease and pain. We appreciate everything that you’ve all contributed to her recovery.
