Employees at BuyATimeshare.com came together this year to donate some of their Christmas to local families in the Milford, New Hampshire area. As we were planning the traditional Yankee swap for this year’s office celebration, President Wesley Kogelman asked if everyone would like to donate that money toward SHARE, an organization that helps provide families in need with Christmas gifts and warm clothes.

The response was immediate as people spoke up and we gathered what cash we could. Even as a lot of us could only spare $10 – $20, the Christmas spirit rang throughout the office and Kogelman said that BuyATimeshare.com would match all donations dollar for dollar. Today, $1000 in $50 Wal-Mart gift cards were donated to help SHARE give a merry Christmas to the many families who have felt the grip of this economic downturn. This year there is a tremendous amount of need, the number of people who are unemployed or struggling to make ends meet is growing rapidly nationwide. Earlier this month BuyATimeshare.com ran a food drive for Metropolitan Ministries where 348 lbs of food was donated to families in the Tampa Bay area.

ARDA Works to Clean up Timeshare Resale Industry December 18, 2009

The American Resort Development Association or ARDA has decided to take action against the misinformation and confusion out there regarding the timeshare resale market. Working with reputable resale companies like BuyATimeshare.com to ensure transparency on both the buying and selling process.

Timeshare owners have been taking the brunt of this economic downturn. As many vacation properties have become more of a burden than a destination the consumer is battling both the resort and unscrupulous resale companies who are all looking to compensate for the weak economy. Throughout the month of November, BuyATimeshare.com’s Tampa office conducted a food drive to help those less fortunate enjoy Thanksgiving with all the trimmings. The food, ranging from canned goods to frozen turkeys were donated by employees and collected for Metropolitan Ministries in Tampa for their annual food drive. The impressive donation, which was matched can for can and turkey for turkey by President Wesley Kogelman, was taken to the donation center and weighed in at an impressive 348 lbs! Luis Villeda, Director of Customer Service organized the food drive, presented the donation to Metropolitan Ministries and donated his morning to help organize the numerous donations from all over the Tampa Bay area.

The men and women of the armed forces work hard to keep our county safe. While time spent away from work is time spend away from the battlefield, American veterans rarely get to spend a furlough in the very luxuries they fight to protect.
BuyATimeshare.com is working alongside ATFT Foundation and Timeshares For Vets to provide Freedom R&R. As a sign of appreciation for their contribution to our nation’s freedom, the program is to provide our military veterans with a vacation at a timeshare resort of their choice.

In late 2008, ATFT Foundation partnered with Timeshares For Vets to provide our returning veterans and families with an opportunity alleviate the stress and trauma of their services with a much deserved vacation.
