The Banff Gate Mountain Lodge & Spa and the Chateau Canmore Resort are two popular destinations with a future that is still uncertain as owners struggle to keep them open.
While Chateau World is in the throes of foreclosure, its properties have thrived for over a decade. The properties provide elegant Chalet suites set among the wooded Banff National Park in Alberta, Canada. Two groups are working to keep the resort available to owners and guests and are planning to meet with shareholders soon to see what can be done. Built into breathtaking scenery and a mountain backdrop, the area is comprised of premier golf, ski, and hiking destinations. The picturesque Canmore is a treasure to hundreds of members who are taking action to save the resort.
Member Services at Chateau World released a statement that says in part, “As our families are some of the oldest members, we strongly believe that it is in the best interest of the club to be run by current active members, as any other parties would not have the best interest of the members in mind. We will be unveiling the new member-run format this week.”
