Owners at Wyndham Nashville Get Some Adventure with Their Vacation May 5, 2010
Posted by Bryan Connelly in : Timeshare Resource , add a commentEarlier this week Wyndham Nashville, a Tennessee favorite among vacationers, witnessed its highest floodwaters in 50 years. After teeming rains and torrential storms paralyzed The Music City, over 12 inches of rain fell and the Cumberland River rose more than 12 feet above its banks. Property damage was extensive as 10 feet of cocoa-brown river water washed through the area. And while the entire region along the Cumberland and Opryland was sinking fast, nearly 600 vacationers at the Wyndham Nashville resort had to be rescued.
An armada comprised of canoes, personal watercraft, fishing boats, and even the amphibious tour bus was there to help vacationers to dry land. Many folks were forced to wade through murky floodwaters in order to reach the fleet. The condition of the resort has not been determined yet, but Wyndham Nashville should be back to its original luster relatively quickly.
