The tournament will be held, rain or shine, on Tuesday September 27th. The College Bound Movers and the Amherst Country Club will be hosting the event. All proceeds will go toward benefiting the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Nashua and Greater Salem. Last Year’s CBM Cares Classic was able to generate over $30,000 and helped to match nearly 500 children with Big Brothers and Big Sisters. “This year we hope to reach the new goal set for 2011” said Kogelman.
With sponsorship on both the Fairway and the Green, Kogelman will be instrumental in reaching this year’s aim of $50,000. There is growing demand for the services and support the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Nashua & Greater Salem provide. Corporate support, federal, state and municipal funding have all declined however. Fortunately, annual events like the CBM Cares Golf Classic have made it possible for those like Kogelman and his team to contribute to this charitable cause. This fundraiser will go toward the continuing efforts by the BBBS to have a positive impact on the community’s children.
