dating tips for college students December 31, 2014

The American Resort Development Association (ARDA) recently conducted a survey of vacationers that takes a peek into whether or not couples are rekindling their romantic spark while on vacation.

While time away may conjure up thoughts of greater intimacy, the survey found that more than half of the respondents were in fact not having more sex. The primary reason for this is lack of privacy (60 percent). The one exception was the timeshare owner—71 percent claim to have more sex with their partner while on vacation (versus 31 percent of non-owners).

ARDA American Resort Development Association“When people are vacationing with the family, they often stay together in one hotel room, and that makes it pretty difficult to celebrate the intimate, romantic part of a relationship,” said Howard Nusbaum, president and CEO of the American Resort Development Association (ARDA). “Our owners don’t face this challenge, as one of the benefits of timeshare is the space it offers—separate bedrooms and plenty of private areas. Timeshare owners love that they can create memories with their families and children, and also have the space for romance while on vacation…the best of both worlds!”

When asked what would raise their intimacy levels while on vacation, a romantic setting/new environment was the number one reason cited (31 percent), while 29 percent felt that separate accommodations and greater privacy would enhance their experience.

Timeshare resorts are located in some of the most beautiful locations in the world, from exotic Hawaii to romantic Europe, and all places in between. For more on why timeshare vacations make for better—and sexier—vacations, visit

Research Funded by Diamond Resorts International Reveals the Benefits of Regular Vacations December 4, 2014

Posted by Steve Luba in : Diamond Resorts International, , comments closed

According to a recent Diamond Resorts International study conducted by Nielsen, people who take regular vacations are considerably happier and feel healthier than those who tend to skip their holidays.

Diamond Resorts The online survey was commissioned by Diamond Resorts International and included more than 2000 respondents aged 25 and older with an annual household income of at least $35K. The “Vacation Integration Towards an All-inclusive Lifestyle” (VITAL) survey compared happiness, health, vitality, relationships and job satisfaction of two groups of survey participants — those who vacation at least once a year and those who never go on vacations. While the study included a broad variety of factors and questions, the general conclusion was obvious: regular vacations are not simply a pleasant luxury, they have a significant impact on our well-being.

Despite the obvious contribution that vacations make to health and happiness, 52% of respondents, a majority, did not take all of their paid vacation days last year, forfeiting on average more than seven days each year that they could have spent relaxing at a beach, touring foreign cities or taking on the slopes, rather than sitting behind their desks. One of the most significant factors guiding this decision was money: 38% of survey participants who did not take a vacation in the last year cited higher unemployment as the main reason and 70% of respondents who did not travel at all last year said it was too expensive in the current economy.

Diamond Resorts understands the importance of regular vacation time as well as the dilemma that financing a rewarding holiday may cause. In response the company has developed a network of more than 300 premier vacation destinations that offer affordable luxury vacations to all of their customers.

“At Diamond Resorts International, we have always believed that vacations are a necessity for a happy, healthy, well-balanced life and we believe everyone should be viewing vacations that way,” explains President and CEO David Palmer.

This opinion is backed by noted psychologist Dr. Dale Atkins, the Diamond Resorts Vacation Doctor.” “This supports what I see in my practice every day,” Dr. Atkins says. “Vacations should not be considered a luxury — they are a must for our happiness and health in an increasingly stressful world.” Based on the survey results, Dr. Atkins identified the five main reasons why vacations are essential: “Vacations can make you feel sexier, happier, energized, more satisfied with your job, and healthier. And thanks to Diamond Resorts, these are realistic goals everyone can achieve.”
