Along with a group from College Bound Movers the teams competed for charity at the CBM CARES Paintball Championship. Riddled with welts and aches from course after course of chroma combat, they definitely have some exciting stories to tell.

Sunday morning the teams gathered at AG Paintball in Weare, NH. First was Castle Anthrax with a game of capture the flag. Here they boast “20,000 square feet and multiple stories…” Nearly 25 participants battled this weekend through urban-style courses and villages. And that’s only a few of more than 5 challenges that left them covered in paint.
The event is to support CBM CARES and the fundraising they put toward community programs like the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Nashua & Greater Salem, and the Boys and Girls Club of Souhegan Valley. But everyone looks back on the experience a great team building opportunity. Those who participated helped each other make it over walls and worked to overcome obstacle after obstacle. “We all focused on finishing together and working as a team, it was a really exciting time” said Wesley Kogelman, President and CEO of BuyATimeshare.com.
The event put staff BuyATimeshare.com sales and admin departments against a squad from College Bound Movers. Toward the end of the battle, the teams were hot and covered from head to toe with dirt and paint. The sunny morning became a hot afternoon and after hours of challenges, energy was in short supply. “It was worth the pain!” added Jen Chase of BuyATimeshare.com’s Customer Service Team. The staff members brandished their bruises and spoke of tackling one intimidating pile of laundry once returning home. But already, they’re talking about next time.

Wesley Kogelman and the Souhegan Valley Rotary Help The 100 Holes of Golf Fundraiser August 1, 2011
Posted by Bryan Connelly in : Charity, General, News & Events, Timeshare Resale, Timeshare Resource, Uncategorized , add a commentWesley Kogelman and the Souhegan Valley Rotary was able to contribute nearly $1000 in cash, as well as volunteering their time during the 17th annual golf tournament fundraiser. Held on Friday, July 29 at the Amherst Country Club, the turnout for this annual event was overwhelming. And with 100 holes of golf to shoot in one day, there was plenty of activity. All of the proceeds benefit the Milford Rotary Club Foundation where every cent goes back into the community. Wesley Kogelman, president and founder of local BuyATimeshare.com knows how important this occasion is to the community. “This is the major fundraiser for the year” Kogelman explains, “…and I look forward to being a part of next year’s event as well.” Along with college scholarships, the Milford Rotary Club Foundation supports grants, community projects and donations to other worthy organizations that help provide aide and services to the area.
Wesley Kogelman and BuyATimeshare.com and sold raffle tickets and volunteered their time to make sure the tournament when off without a hitch. By monitoring the greens and tending to flags when shots were made, the daunting task of shooting 100 holes of golf in one day remained an entertaining event. In its 16 years, this fundraiser has generated $1 million dollars for surrounding communities. Each year the golf tournament lets teams play 100 holes of uninterrupted golf. Each team member plays an equal amount of the total 100 holes. For those involved, it is a fast-paced version of an otherwise leisurely game. Each team must complete 18 holes within 2 hours and 20 minutes. This is a significant difference from the four-hour game of patients and skill. The game is played from the early hours of the morning until the late afternoon where the winner is determined. A Face of Cancer March 3, 2011
Posted by John Stephens in : Charity , add a commentWe call our product timeshare. The idea of sharing time with others on vacation, or sharing the unit we buy or rent with family or friends with whom we want to share time. Sharing time with the special people in our lives is the real joy of the timeshare concept.
Sometimes, the ravages of cancer can interrupt those plans and the time we find ourselves sharing with others becomes much more meaningful. Especially when the disease strikes a child.
7-year old Caleb Cook of Rochester, New Hampshire, suffers from a rare form of cancer that can develop in the connective tissues of young children. Called rhabdomyosarcoma, it is a form of childhood cancer that affects tissues of the body that would normally develop into skeletal muscles.
Caleb is receiving treatment at the renowned Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston, Mass., but there is a significant cost involved, which is why businesses and members of the southern New Hampshire community gathered for the Caleb Cook RMS Fund Benefit to raise money for the Cook family as their son fights against the disease.
BuyaTimeshare.com was one of 10 companies sponsoring the event on February 19th, which featured the band Blind Spot, food and drink and a silent auction. The money raised will go toward Caleb’s medical costs and the evening demonstrated the significant community support shown towards the Cooks according to those who attended the event.
Peter Emery, our Sales Director at BuyaTimeshare.com, was one of those in attendance.
“It is a terrible tragedy when children are afflicted with something like this. I have two young daughters around Caleb’s age and I don’t know what I would do if anything like this happened to one of my girls,” said Emery. “It is heartening to see the community rally around the Cook family this way and we all hope and pray that Caleb can beat this.”
Caleb’s treatment includes regular rounds of chemotherapy at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. Since its founding in 1947, the Institute has been committed to providing cancer patients with the best treatment available while developing cures through cutting-edge research. Dana-Farber specializes exclusively in cancer treatment and research, is a Harvard Medical School affiliate and has been ranked as the best cancer hospital in New England and sixth best in the nation in U.S. News and World Report‘s “America’s Best Hospitals” survey. More information on the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute can be found at http://www.dana-farber.org/.
Event organizers are still tallying up the generous donations from the benefit and we’ll provide an update to the evening when those figures are released.
To follow Caleb’s journey, you can follow on his Facebook Page by clicking here or by going to the website at http://www.ccrmsfund.bbnow.org/, which was set up for the Benefit. Donations are still being accepted and you can make a donation to help with Caleb’s medical costs by clicking here.
Rotary Clubs Lead By Serving Others February 24, 2011
Posted by John Stephens in : Charity , add a commentService clubs are part of the fabric of this country, with thousands of people volunteering their time each year in projects that benefit the community. Many of these acts and projects go unnoticed in the eyes of the general public, but service clubs fundraise and work their way into the hearts of people who are touched by their acts of kindness.
It is because of the great work that Rotarians do every year that I wanted to draw your attention to a ceremonial act that took place yesterday at the New York Stock Exchange. Rotary International President Ray Klinginsmith rang the closing bell at the Exchange during a ceremony with representatives from Rotary and the group Sanofi Pasteur, a leading provider of polio vaccine, in honor of Rotary’s 106th anniversary and in support of a polio-free world. Representatives of the two organizations also took part in opening bell ceremonies in four financial markets in Europe yesterday: Lisbon, Portugal; Amsterdam; Brussels, Belgium; and Paris.
Polio eradication has been Rotary’s top priority for more than 20 years and it boggles the mind that polio still exists when it can be avoided with such a simple vaccine. The “End Polio Now” campaign is underway as Rotary looks to raise $200 million to match $355 million in challenge grants received from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. The resulting $555 million will directly support immunization campaigns in developing countries, where polio continues to infect and paralyze children, robbing them of their futures and compounding the hardships faced by their families. According to Rotary International, the incidence of polio infection has plunged worldwide from about 350,000 cases in 1988 to fewer than 1,000 cases in 2010. More than two billion children have been immunized in 122 countries, preventing five million cases of paralysis and 250,000 pediatric deaths.
You may be asking what this has to do with timeshare? Our president and CEO, Wesley Kogelman, has been a member of Rotary since 2006 and he is part of a new Rotary chapter which just opened in Nashua, New Hampshire. The Rotary Club of Souhegan Valley celebrated its new beginning on Monday with a visit from Mr. Klinginsmith before he headed down to the Big Apple for yesterday’s ceremony.
In case you’re wondering, Wesley is the guy with the glasses wearing the red tie on the left in the back of the photo. Mr. Klinginsmith is the man holding the new charter on the left with new chapter president, David Williamson, holding the charter to the right.
So our company is connected to Rotary through our chief executive, which means we wanted to bring this issue to your attention in case you, your family or someone you know has been affected by polio and wanted to do something to help.
By clicking here, you will be taken to a webpage where you can make a contribution to help Rotary battle this debilitating disease. If you choose to do so, you have our utmost thanks and we appreciate the step you’ve taken to join us in the fight.
Wesley Kogelman and Buy A Timeshare.com Help North Ridge Church and its Fill the Bus Food Drive December 1, 2010
Posted by Bryan Connelly in : Charity, Customer Comments, General, Marriott Timeshares, New Features, News & Events, Timeshare Rental, Timeshare Resale, Timeshare Resource, Travel , add a commentIn addition to contributions made to the NH Food Bank Wesley Kogelman has teamed up with his local church. Located in Derry, New Hampshire, the NorthRidge Church is hosting the January 2011 Fill the Bus Food Drive.
President and CEO of the local advertising firm BuyATimeshare.com, Kogelman and his company help timeshare consumers. His team allows people to market their properties online and offers a marketplace of affordable vacations for buyers and renters. They are one of the few firms who specialize in timeshare resales.
With a recent food drive resulting in over 3500 pounds of donations, Kogelman is excited to see just how much a school bus will hold. NorthRidge Church fills every seat in their 72-seat passenger bus with bags of groceries. They are delivered to the Salvation Army Food Pantry and Chester Food Pantry following the Holiday rush. Last year both emergency food pantries were depleted over the holidays. The NRC Bus rolled in right after Christmas packed with groceries donated by their church members. They completely filled both pantries just before the sever winter power outages.
Pastor Mike Mills of NorthRidge Church expresses the need for The NRC bus and the importance of contributions from patrons and businesses alike. “We are looking forward to filling up the North Ridge Church Bus again this January. With so many groceries to deliver in our community, we are grateful to Wesley Kogelman and his company for their compassion to help us fill this bus. That means filling a lot of hungry tummies in Southern New Hampshire this January.”
