This event stretched from October 15 to November 22. In the first few days it truly was the season of giving. Employees of this local advertising firm set a goal of 500lbs. This increased to 1000lbs after an impressive first week resulted in over 700lbs of food.
Their new ½ ton goal was easily conquered. The food and drinks slowly became a huge pile of groceries. The benefactor of this Food Drive is the New Hampshire Food Bank and Metropolitan Ministries . The New Hampshire Food Bank has recently opened a new storage facility in Manchester, New Hampshire. This is the only food bank in the granite state. They help to feed over 127,000 people each year. Even in the grip of a recession the group donated as many cans, jars and boxes as they could. This has resulted in a gift of 1590 pounds and $1200 to the NH Food Bank.
This is not the first year that Buy A Timeshare.com has held a great Food Drive. In December of 2009 the staff donated 348 lbs to Metropolitan Ministries in Tampa, Florida. This year, the group was able to donate nearly 2500 lbs to that same charity. Even customers were able to be part of the event. For the first time ever, the local business used a portion of its revenue toward a cash donation to local charities.
Metropolitan Ministries has been operating in the Tampa Florida area since 1972. For over 35 years, together with the Tampa Bay community, they have made it possible for 522,200 families to be served through Outreach and Prevention Services, nearly 23 million hot meals have been prepared and 354,520 safe haven shelter nights have been provided.

Breaking the tie against the New Hampshire Policemen, the third annual CHaD Battle of the Badges brought thousands of local fans together to root for their favorite hero. Facing off for children, two teams composed of Granite State Police and Fire departments fan the flames of their rivalry with an exciting hockey event. Since 2008 the teams have provided spectators with a thrilling game and a welcomed economic boost for the Children’s Hospital at Dartmouth.
New Hampshire-based BuyATimeshare.com was in attendance rooting for the local police department and donating more than $2500 in support of pediatric research and patient care at CHaD. The leading timeshare resale firm also added some extra style to the Policemen’s hockey team with BuyATimeshare.com patches on their uniform and cheering BuyATimeshare.com staff in the stands. With a crowd of over 3000 people, the Verizon Wireless Arena rang out with applause as every goal and glove-save was made.

Each talented player was determined to bring home the title as the badges battled in a non-stop flurry of red and blue.
Tied 1-1 in the 1st, Brian Croft from Franklin made a goal for the NH Police to lead 2-1 in the 2nd period. In the 3rd period, the tie-breaker was made by Bobby Fowler of the Firefighters 3-2. Team captain Micky Drouin of the Dover Fire Department battled in the end to get another goal for a score of 4-2 and the NHFirefighters secure their second victory. Derek Newcomb, goalie of the NHPolicemen is excited for another chance to take on the Firemen; he says he is itching to come back for next year’s game and is looking forward to training a bit harder next year.

Raising over $4000 for the Boys & Girls Club of Souhegan Valley, local New Hampshire businesses like BuyATimeshare.com came together to bring a night of celebration to the Sky Lounge in Nashua.
Wesley Kogelman explains, “last year we were able to get a lot of people together and raise a lot of money for the Boys & Girls Club. We had a lot of fun this year and hope to raise just as much next year.”
Thousands of raffle tickets were sold and some people left the Summer Bash with some awesome prizes. Among the prizes auctioned off, an autographed shadow box with two Red Sox tickets was won by John Sarofeen for $800. Justine Mollomo of BuyATimeshare.com sold nearly $1500 in raffle tickets.

As we were planning the traditional Yankee swap for this year’s office celebration, President Wesley Kogelman asked if everyone would like to donate that money toward SHARE, an organization that helps provide families in need with Christmas gifts and warm clothes.
The response was immediate as people spoke up and we gathered what cash we could. Even as a lot of us could only spare $10 – $20, the Christmas spirit rang throughout the office and Kogelman said that BuyATimeshare.com would match all donations dollar for dollar. Today, $1000 in $50 Wal-Mart gift cards were donated to help SHARE give a merry Christmas to the many families who have felt the grip of this economic downturn. This year there is a tremendous amount of need, the number of people who are unemployed or struggling to make ends meet is growing rapidly nationwide.
