Disney Vacation Club welcomes its 12th resort to its portfolio of vacation destinations with the opening of The Villas at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, located within walking distance of a monorail ride to Magic Kingdom Park. The resort – reminiscent of the golden age of a bygone Victorian era  – resides alongside the picturesque shores of Seven Seas Lagoon, steps away from the myriad world-class dining and recreation offerings available at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, the flagship Walt Disney World resort experience.

Disney Grand Floridian ribbon cuttingThe new resort features a variety of villa accommodations that sleep anywhere from five to nine guests, all designed to bring families closer and create memories that last a lifetime. The resort is the first Disney timeshare property to feature deluxe studios that sleep up to five guests.  Additionally, expansive grand villas sleep 12 guests and feature multiple bedrooms and bathrooms, as well as a media room with a home theater system.

“The Villas at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa is yet another example of how we are listening and responding to our members,” said Ken Potrock, senior vice president and general manager, Disney Vacation Club. “The resort builds on the continuing momentum to provide our members with ever-greater choices and experiences.”

The villas evoke a casual elegance, continuing the distinctive design of Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa while providing modern luxuries and whimsical Disney touches. A delightful Mary Poppins-themed bronze fountain with playful penguins waits to greet guests as they step into the lobby. Adorning the lobby’s atrium are also two five-tier custom grand chandeliers with a light antiqued-brass finish and decorative green crystals. Nearby at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, a children’s water-play area and private, poolside cabanas rest alongside Seven Seas Lagoon, nestled between Magic Kingdom Park and Disney’s Polynesian Resort.

Inside one-bedroom and larger villas, an intricate level of finishes brings the 21st century to Victorian design, including custom Disney artwork adorning the walls of each bedroom; ornate bathrooms hosting mosaic marble tile and a mirror with a built-in television; and a walk-in master bath shower and a freestanding Victorian-style tub with air-bubble jets. The living area spares no details when it comes to comfort and flexibility, with a pull-down bed featuring artwork inspired by Walt Disney’s Dumbo and Mary Poppins.

Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa covers approximately 40 acres and has provided premium entertainment, recreation and dining since its ribbon-cutting ceremony in 1988. From its musicians entertaining daily in the lobby and delectable dining options (including the Supercalifragilistic Breakfast, Garden View Tea RoomCinderella’s Happily Ever After Dinner, Citricos, the AAA Five Diamond award-winning Victoria & Albert’s, among many more) to its recreational opportunities such as watercraft rentals, white-sand beach, pirate adventure cruises and the rejuvenating Senses – A Disney Spa, Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa is known as the crown jewel of the Walt Disney World Resort hotels. Additionally, the second floor of the resort leads to the monorail platform, which can whisk guests to Magic Kingdom within minutes.

Disney Vacation Club, a leader in vacation ownership, debuted in 1991 with a flexible, vacation points-based system rather than the traditional fixed-week timeshare model. Today, Disney Vacation Club is approaching a total of 200,000 member families, from all 50 states and approximately 100 countries, who have discovered the joys of membership.

Disney Vacation Club to build Disney Timeshare at Polynesian Resort September 17, 2013

Posted by Steve Luba in : white girl dating black guy tips, friendship dating over 50 , comments closed

Disney Vacation Club, the timeshare arm of the Walt Disney World entertainment empire, has announced an expansion of its Disney timeshare operation with new units to be built at the Polynesian Resort.

Disney's_Polynesian_ResortThe Polynesian, which was one of the original Disney resorts when the Magic Kingdom first opened in 1971, will join the 300-unit Bay Lake Tower at Disney’s Contemporary Resort and next month’s unveiling of 150 timeshare units at the Grand Floridian to complete the timeshare triumvirate along Disney’s original monorail line.

“The planned development project at Disney’s Polynesian Resort, when completed, will join Disney Vacation Club’s 12 other properties, including The Villas at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, scheduled to open Oct. 23,” Disney officials announced in a news release. “Construction on the Polynesian project began this month, and completion is estimated to be in 2015. In addition to the Disney Vacation Club project, other guest areas within Disney’s Polynesian Resort will undergo refurbishment. More information and project details will be shared at a later date.”

Disney timeshare officials did not reveal the number of timeshare units to be added to the resort, but did say that the offerings will become part of an overall renovation of the Polynesian hotel.

It’s no wonder why Disney has decided to expand its lucrative timeshare product, with tourism in Central Florida estimated to be worth $32 billion and approximately 57 million tourists visiting the region in 2012.

For those consumers looking to buy Disney timeshare, look no further than the resale market where significant money can be saved by buying from existing owners. To see the available Disney inventory on the BuyaTimeshare.com website, please click here.

Disney Vacation Club To Hike Interest Rates For New Timeshare Purchases August 4, 2013

Posted by Steve Luba in : white girl dating black guy tips, friendship dating over 50, Timeshare Resale , comments closed

As if you needed another reason to buy Disney timeshare on the resale market, Disney Vacation Club has increased the interest rates for consumers looking to buy through DVC.

According to a post on DVCNews.com (which is a great source for DVC info), the rates are going up as follows:

Previous Rate Current Rate
Current member, 10% down 11.0%
Current member, 20% down 8.99%
Premium, 10% down 11.5% 12.0%
Premium, 20% down 9.0% 9.99%
Preferred, 10% down 14.5% 14.5%
Preferred, 20% down 10.5% 12.0%
Standard, 10% down 17.5% 17.5%
Standard, 20% down 12.5% 14.5%

Rates are for a 10-year loan with no pre-pay penalties and the rates will also vary depending on the credit of the particular buyer. Enrolling in the auto-pay program through direct debit from a U.S. account will get you a 1 percent reduction in the rate.

But still …

Some of these rates seem astronomical to me considering the rates currently available through standard financing options. Current mortgage rates hover around 4 percent and a simple Google search revealed several options for personal loans with rates under 10 percent.

Hasn’t the timeshare industry learned anything from the last five years? I understand that developers want more down payment (doesn’t everybody?) but these rates are out of line. You’d think they would give their current members a break, but to start charging them as well doesn’t seem to foster brand loyalty.

Current members know the drill and I would imagine they know enough to start looking to the resale market to pick up points at a cheaper rate to lift their portfolio.

Once again, the developers are making our point for us, that resale is the way to buy timeshare and online offers can bring big savings. For more information about Disney timeshare resale options, please click here.

For those Disney timeshare owners who visit Central Florida during the Fall, prepare to salivate as Disney has released the menus for this year’s Epcot Food and Wine Festival, scheduled for Sept. 27 through Nov. 11.

Brazil will also be returning, along with a new menu.

Dole pineapple will also be back as part of the Dole Foods display at the Refreshment Port – bringing pineapple fritters, shrimp and chicken sweet and sour dishes and orange Dole Whip.

To check out the full lineup of participating countries and their fare, go to the Disney Parks Blog here.

As if the attractions of Central Florida aren’t reason enough to visit, Disney timeshare offers terrific accommodation options to attend the Food and Wine Festival. The best part is that you can search for Disney timeshare rentals and resales and save significant money on the retail cost of these options through Disney.

Prices For Disney Timeshare Points Just Went Up Again June 27, 2013

Posted by Steve Luba in : white girl dating black guy tips, friendship dating over 50, Timeshare Resale , comments closed

Disney Vacation Club has reportedly raised its prices for Disney timeshare points purchased directly from DVC.

Disney Animal KingdomAccording to the website dvcnews.com, Disney Vacation Club raised its base price to $150 per point for Aulani, Disney Vacation Club Villas, Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas and the new Grand Floridian timeshare resort scheduled to open in October.

Presales for Grand Floridian had been limited to current DVC owners until this week, when it was open to the general public.

The website added that most Aulani and Animal Kingdom Villas purchases are eligible for credits of $3-16 off per point, along with a buyer’s choice of either a $1000 developer credit or an assortment of free theme park tickets.

I wonder what kind of hoops you’d have to jump through to get those discounts? The incentive sounds nice, but when you compare them to how much money can be saved by buying Disney timeshare points on resales site such as ours, these credits just don’t make sense.

Take a look at the significant savings you can get on buying Disney timeshare resale points by clicking here.

Disney Timeshare Owners To Get First Shot At Buying Into New Grand Floridian Resort May 22, 2013

Posted by Steve Luba in : white girl dating black guy tips, friendship dating over 50 , comments closed

Disney Vacation Club, the Disney timeshare brand of the Disney empire, has announced that they will open sales for the new Villas at Grand Floridian Resort & Spa in Orlando to current DVC members beginning tomorrow, May 23.

The timeshare development at the Grand Floridian will be DVC’s 12th resort, with sales open to the general public on June 19.

grand-floridian-dvc“We are absolutely thrilled to add this casually elegant new resort to our Disney Vacation Club portfolio,” said Ken Potrock, senior vice president and general manager, Disney Vacation Club. “This resort will welcome families home with modern luxury and style, in a location that can only be described as spectacular. Within walking distance of a monorail ride to the Magic Kingdom, The Villas at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa will serve as an ideal setting for family vacations and create truly cherished memories for our members.”

The new development will include 106 two-bedroom equivalent villas on the shores of Seven Seas Lagoon as part of a previously announced expansion of Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. Once opened, the new property will feature studios and one-bedroom villas that sleep five guests, as well as two-bedroom villas that sleep nine guests. Additionally, grand villas will sleep 12 guests and will feature multiple bedrooms and bathrooms. The estimated opening date for the Grand Floridian villas is October 23, 2013.

But here’s the catch.

As DVC is a points-based product, the initial pricing is $145 per point for any quantity of 25 or more points, with a 50 point minimum to finance the purchase. This rate is only for current DVC members, so look for those prices to go up once DVC gets a better idea of early demand.

A quick look at the Disney Vacation Club products for sale on our website shows just how inflated these new sale prices are, when you can get a Disney timeshare resale for $50-$60 per point. Before you buy a Disney timeshare, do yourself a favor and comparison shop on our website before you make any decisions.

Disney Timeshare Guests Get 24 Hours Of Magic Over Memorial Day Weekend May 2, 2013

Posted by Steve Luba in : white girl dating black guy tips, friendship dating over 50 , comments closed

Disney timeshare guests visiting Disney World and Disneyland over Memorial Day weekend will get an added bonus.

Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort will kick off a Monstrous Summer by keeping three theme parks open for 24 hours nonstop on Memorial Day Weekend, the traditional start of the family travel season.

The Magic Kingdom Park in Florida and Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park in California will stay open from 6 a.m., May 24 to 6 a.m., May 25, 2013, local time* marking the beginning of a summer of fun inspired by the upcoming Disney•Pixar comedy adventure Monsters University.

The oversized fun of a 24-hour Disney park “All-Nighter” called for an equally epic announcement, and the huge sphere of Spaceship Earth was transformed from Disney Parks icon to Disney?Pixar “Eye-con,” becoming a 180-foot-tall, fully animated Mike Wazowski, the loveable green-bodied, one-eyed monster who joins best pal James P.
