BuyATimeshare.com has wrapped up its Third Annual Food Drive with some heartwarming results. Working with local businesses, the drive was able to generate 1,200 pounds of food for the New Hampshire Food Bank and the Nashua Soup Kitchen. Together with donations from our office in Tampa, Florida, BuyATimeshare.com was able to contribute 1,778 pounds of food to local charities.

In addition, BuyATimeshare.com hosted a fundraiser at Peddlers Daughter in Nashua. The event included a raffle to raise as much money as possible. Headlining the raffle was a free vacation and airfare for two provided by BuyATimeshare.com. The winner of this year’s raffle was announced, and the successful event raised $800 for a total monetary donation of $1,315.

On Monday, November 21, the managers of BuyATimeshare.com donated their time at the Nashua Soup Kitchen. This came as a welcomed surprise to the Food Pantry, which expects to distribute over 1,000 Holiday Boxes to needy families in the area. President of BuyATimeshare.com Wesley Kogelman said, “We look forward to another great holiday food drive and I look forward to helping these families again.” A special thanks to Frederick’s Pastry’s for participating as a drop off location. And thanks to our own Randy Medeiros for a great job organizing the event and being the man on the microphone.

With so many reasons to step up and give back to the community, everyone at BuyATimeshare.com is ready to work with local businesses and residents for next year’s big Food Drive. The staff is always looking for ways to get involved. Whether working with the United Way of Nashua, Toys for Tots in Tampa Bay, BuyATimeshare.com employees are excited to contribute. Whether sponsoring an event for the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Nashua & Greater Salem, or donating backpacks to Metropolitan Ministries in Tampa, there is always a way give back to the local community.

Consumers Now Have More Control Over Their Timeshare Pulse Accounts May 27, 2011

Posted by John Stephens in : New Features, News & Events , add a comment

You may have noticed some changes to the member accounts that we offer through the BuyaTimeshare.com website for those consumers looking to buy, sell or rent timeshare online through our website.

New interactive features designed in our customer interface now allow clients to have more control over the timeshare resale and rental process.

“We identified and enhanced areas of our website in order to raise the level of service and meet the requirements of our customers, whether they are sellers, buyers or renters,” said Wesley Kogelman, president and CEO, BuyaTimeshare.com.

Potential timeshare buyers or renters seeking the best deals possible can create an account through the program called Timeshare Pulse. This exclusive platform provides people looking to buy timeshare or rent timeshare with nightly updates on newly advertised properties and price changes on accommodation previously under consideration – all directly sent into the customer’s inbox.

This new platform also allows offers to be managed online by buyers, renters and sellers without the need to contact the other party on the phone. The system provides each party with the ability to accept, decline or counter an offer through the network, with the ability to continue the negotiation process until an agreed-upon price is accepted by both parties.

For those sellers and renters who have placed an advertisement on the BuyaTimeshare.com website, new tools allow them to manage the details of their ad and change any information necessary, including prices, without the need to contact our customer service department. A login and password is provided which provides advertisers with direct, online access to the information and the ability to make changes at their convenience. If they have multiple ads in the system, they can link those ads to manage and edit them from one online account.

New Resort Pages have been developed for resorts with inventory advertised on the website, providing potential buyers and renters with comprehensive information to make an educated decision about that resort. Because of the online interactivity demanded by today’s travelers, these pages allow anyone to post a resort review if they have a Timeshare Pulse account. As with any reputable website looking to meet the needs of the traveling public, these reviews can be very helpful for those consumers looking to rent timeshare or buy timeshare.

“Today’s consumer wants the information at their fingertips to make decisions about their next vacation. They don’t want to wade through endless pages of material in an online excavation project,” said Kogelman. “These new tools make it simple for buyers, renters and sellers to connect and agree on purchase decisions that will ensure excellent value for great vacations.”

If you don’t have a Timeshare Pulse account, then you’re missing out on some great deals since our members receive first notice about product changes and additions to our site. To find out how to sign up, click here.

New Search Features Make It Easier To Buy And Rent Timeshare April 7, 2011

If you’ve spent some time browsing the BuyaTimeshare.com website in the past few days, you’ve probably noticed some changes we’ve made to the site.

Our outstanding IT guys have incorporated new advanced search features into the site and given customers more information to make a timeshare purchase decision and meet their vacation needs.

The new features allow website visitors to find inventory by specific branded resort locations, brand names and regional areas, making this one of the most sophisticated search features in the resale industry. Visitors can now sort their search according to their specific needs, such as searching for resorts that offer scuba and watersports activities.

We’ve created our own proprietary algorithm, similar to the way Google operates, to give visitors the ability to find the exact property they are looking for without having to navigate through countless tabs and search pages.

The new search results page has been refined to show additional relevant information, according to the needs of the visitor. For example, a search for a Marriott timeshare property will reveal that, as part of the Marriott Vacation Club system, the customer could also buy points in that program and get access to additional resorts.

Revamped resort pages show everything someone looking to buy timeshare could possibly want to know about a particular resort, including the current weather, nearby area attractions, resort descriptions, amenities at the resort and whether the available inventory is for sale or for rent. Contact details, including the phone number and address for the resort, are provided in case the buyer chooses to contact the resort. Google Maps is also included to show the visitor the exact location of the resort. In the Area Attractions section, the attractions are mapped out with directions provided from the resort to the attraction to give the buyer even more information to help them plan out their vacation.

A new login system has been created so existing customers who have chosen to sell timeshare through the BuyaTimeshare.com website can manage their own accounts. Sellers can now adjust the asking price for their timeshare themselves, based on the offers they receive, without the need to go through the company’s customer service department.

Customers can now post resort reviews, as the new resort pages allow anyone to make a review if they have an account with the company. These reviews will be very helpful for visitors looking to buy timeshare or rent timeshare at a particular resort.

Have a look and tell us what you think of the new features to the site by either commenting below or going to our Facebook page at www.facebook.com/rentatimeshare .

BuyaTimeshare.com Launches Integrated Social Media Outreach Program March 14, 2011

Posted by John Stephens in : New Features, News & Events , add a comment

It’s no secret that blogs are a great way for a company to interact with customers and anyone else looking for information. For the timeshare industry, it is essential for reputable companies to provide such information in light of the misinformation that often exists on the web. You’re reading this so you understand, but did you also know that we have extended our online outreach to other social media platforms?

The social media revolution has come to BuyaTimeshare.com in a big way as we’ve created a new outreach program to share industry information and deals through corporate accounts. We’ve been testing these accounts to measure their effectiveness and have decided to grow the accounts to meet the information needs of our customers.

“We’ve been tracking the progress and adoption of social media platforms such as Twitter and Facebook for a while, but the effectiveness of these channels for our industry has been in question until recently,” said Wesley Kogelman, president and CEO, BuyaTimeshare.com. “We believe that the adoption of these programs by consumers has grown to the point that, based on our testing, we are confident in investing into these programs to expand our outreach beyond our own website.”

Our company’s Facebook page, at www.facebook.com/rentatimeshare, has already grown to more than 350 “likes” and we will be using it to post weekly rental deals and industry information as well as a way for consumers to interact with the company.

The corporate Twitter account, at www.twitter.com/selltimeshares, will be used to provide deals on high demand properties and to share industry information to consumers to provide a more balanced view of the timeshare industry beyond the sensational headlines that are often unbalanced in their reporting of industry events.

As a matter of fact, we’ve integrated all three accounts so you can visit our Facebook page and access our Twitter account and this blog from that page as well. It’s a one-stop information shop for the company.

“It’s no secret that social media is the present as well as the future of online outreach,” said Kogelman. “Facebook now has 153 million subscribers in the U.S. and with its incorporation of Bing as its internal search engine, more people are going to use their Facebook account for all of their online searching and sharing needs. We want to be able to meet those needs by providing great value and information for those looking for deals on timeshare.”

Even with the great ways that social media can influence our lives, there is still only one place that you can go to find the best timeshare resale deals from people looking to sell timeshare and buy timeshare, and that’s our website at BuyaTimeshare.com.

How The BBB Has Ruined Your Buying and Selling Experience January 12, 2011

ABC News discovers a misleading grading system that has deceived consumers for over 2 years

For decades the Better Business Bureau has been seen as a beacon of truth to those who needed to know the difference between a trustworthy business and a deceptive one. Recently, the BBB has had a light shined on its own operation, as ABC News and 20/20 investigates. Business owners are accusing the bureau of running a “Pay for Play” scheme, extorting money and potential customers from businesses that refuse to purchase a membership.

Many consumers utilize the BBB as a resource to find out which companies they can trust. Unfortunately, over the past 2 years a growing number of entrepreneurs have witnessed a skewed representation of their businesses. Despite resolved complaints and genuine service, without paying a membership fee these owners would never be seriously represented by the BBB. And the consumer is left in the dark and forced to overlook an otherwise reputable company, only to choose the one that bid the highest.

Some Los Angeles-based business owners have already confirmed multiple errors made by the BBB’s grading system. While some have purchased accreditation for non-existent companies, others have proven their point by getting an ‘A’ rating for a known terrorist group. Better Business Bureau executives maintain that the grade was given in error, but an overwhelming number of business owners, and consumers, have come forward to tell their side of a potentially harmful and deceptive business practice.

Company owners are being solicited by a telemarketing racket that promises a better grade for the price of around $400. This fact has been confirmed time and timeshare again by multiple companies nationwide. And without paying this fee, there is no way to get a higher score. BuyATimeshare.com stopped paying for its membership in 2010. Having worked in timeshare resales, this author can attest for the damage it has done to the industry, and to our reputation as an independently owned business.

The acknowledgment of this scam is paramount in an economy that cannot afford to squander it money on those who would rather Pay to Play than to provide a reliable product. BuyATimeshare.com urges consumers to base their buying and selling decisions on more than just a BBB grade, or any website that is designed to embrace the negative power of a complaint.

In addition to contributions made to the NH Food Bank Wesley Kogelman has teamed up with his local church. Located in Derry, New Hampshire, the NorthRidge Church is hosting the January 2011 Fill the Bus Food Drive.

President and CEO of the local advertising firm BuyATimeshare.com, Kogelman and his company help timeshare consumers. His team allows people to market their properties online and offers a marketplace of affordable vacations for buyers and renters. They are one of the few firms who specialize in timeshare resales.

With a recent food drive resulting in over 3500 pounds of donations, Kogelman is excited to see just how much a school bus will hold. NorthRidge Church fills every seat in their 72-seat passenger bus with bags of groceries. They are delivered to the Salvation Army Food Pantry and Chester Food Pantry following the Holiday rush. Last year both emergency food pantries were depleted over the holidays. The NRC Bus rolled in right after Christmas packed with groceries donated by their church members. They completely filled both pantries just before the sever winter power outages.

Pastor Mike Mills of NorthRidge Church expresses the need for The NRC bus and the importance of contributions from patrons and businesses alike. “We are looking forward to filling up the North Ridge Church Bus again this January. With so many groceries to deliver in our community, we are grateful to Wesley Kogelman and his company for their compassion to help us fill this bus. That means filling a lot of hungry tummies in Southern New Hampshire this January.”
