Posted by Bryan Connelly in : General, New Features, News & Events, Timeshare Resale, Timeshare Resource, Travel , add a commentThe Canadian Resort Development Association (CRDA) is hosting its latest conference to showcase the newest products in the timeshare industry. CRDA is an organization that promotes ownership-based resorts, and the hospitality industry, both in Canada and across the globe. The 6th Annual Resort Development Summit is scheduled for May 16-18, 2012 at the InterContinental Toronto Center in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
The unpredictable economic climate has prompted a shift toward short-term products and maintenance-free ownerships. As new solutions are being created every day, the goal of CRDA is to encourage and maintain a high standard of ethical conduct throughout the industry. The annual CRDA Conference works to educate Canadian industry members before, during and after they purchase a shared ownership or timeshare.

Canadian Timeshares resales and rentals remain popular with vacationers from around the world. BuyATimeshare.com offers many vacation packages throughout Canada’s diverse landscape. It’s popular during the summer months when the southern states and tropical islands are too hot. And during the winter months the slopes come alive:
• Raintree’s Whiski Jack at Whistler Creek is bustling with skiers and family activities. With the busy slopes and an annual snowfall of 450 inches, the area hosts a number of winter sports and activities.
• Shell Vacations Club at Carriage Ridge Resort is another Ontario gem that offers elegant accommodations at affordable resale prices.
• Grand Lakefront Resort Club Canada is a multi-destinational vacation ownership that allows you to travel throughout British Columbia, Shuswap Lake and Portofino Resort Cabo San Lucas in Mexico.
With the theme “It’s not ‘business as usual’ anymore,” the event will focus on the newest innovations developed to meet the needs of today’s timeshare consumer. The conference will also present the reshaping of marketing and development throughout the timeshare industry.

BuyATimeshare.com and College Bound Movers in the CBM CARES Paintball Championship April 16, 2012
Posted by Bryan Connelly in : Charity, General, New Features, News & Events, Timeshare Rental, Timeshare Resale, Timeshare Resource, Travel, Uncategorized , add a commentSome for the BuyATimeshare.com staff members are a little sore getting back to work this week. Along with a group from College Bound Movers the teams competed for charity at the CBM CARES Paintball Championship. Riddled with welts and aches from course after course of chroma combat, they definitely have some exciting stories to tell.

Sunday morning the teams gathered at AG Paintball in Weare, NH. First was Castle Anthrax with a game of capture the flag. Here they boast “20,000 square feet and multiple stories…” Nearly 25 participants battled this weekend through urban-style courses and villages. And that’s only a few of more than 5 challenges that left them covered in paint.
The event is to support CBM CARES and the fundraising they put toward community programs like the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Nashua & Greater Salem, and the Boys and Girls Club of Souhegan Valley. But everyone looks back on the experience a great team building opportunity. Those who participated helped each other make it over walls and worked to overcome obstacle after obstacle. “We all focused on finishing together and working as a team, it was a really exciting time” said Wesley Kogelman, President and CEO of BuyATimeshare.com.
The event put staff BuyATimeshare.com sales and admin departments against a squad from College Bound Movers. Toward the end of the battle, the teams were hot and covered from head to toe with dirt and paint. The sunny morning became a hot afternoon and after hours of challenges, energy was in short supply. “It was worth the pain!” added Jen Chase of BuyATimeshare.com’s Customer Service Team. The staff members brandished their bruises and spoke of tackling one intimidating pile of laundry once returning home. But already, they’re talking about next time.
Wesley Kogelman Attends the ARDA World 2012 Convention & Expo in Las Vegas April 6, 2012
Posted by Bryan Connelly in : ARDA, Customer Comments, General, New Features, News & Events, Timeshare Rental, Timeshare Resale, Timeshare Resource, Travel, Uncategorized , add a commentOver the past week, leaders in the timeshare industry gathered in Las Vegas, Nevada, for the ARDA World 2012 Annual Convention & Exposition. This event is hosted by the American Resort Developments Association, the national trade association for the entire timeshare industry.
BuyATimeshare.com president and CEO, Wesley Kogelman, attended the convention to learn about changes to timesharing and to discuss the future of the secondary timeshare marketplace.
Meeting with several key players, Kogelman was able learn about upcoming legislation and new ways to expand the services of timeshare resales. As a reoccurring subject this year, resort developers are beginning to accept the value of the secondary market, and how they benefit from by-owner sales and resales.
RCI celebrated the ARDA World conference by announcing its new Online Tour Generation program. This will allow affiliated resorts to reach potential timeshare owners online.
And while the subject of “engaging the consumer online” is not a new subject at these sessions, Kogelman was please to learn about some about new and upcoming legislations, and to gain insights from key players in vacation exchange. BuyATimeshare.com is constantly looking to expand its customer-base and the services it can provide to timeshare owners, renters and sellers.
There are constructive conversations beginning to happen, where timeshare resales are being established as an affordable way for consumers to vacation. While more developers seem open to working with companies like BuyATimeshare.com, many still hesitate. Unfortunately, while they are waiting for a different solution to come along, the industry remains a market-driven creature that they cannot control.
ARDA’s data shows that almost 20% of new purchases are taking place on the secondary market. Kogelman attributes this to the ability for consumers to do their research before signing on the dotted line.
Potential Timeshare buyers are more educated than ever before, they go right to their Iphone or Android and search: “buy timeshare”, “buy a timeshare”, or “timeshare for sale” during a resort tour and place offers on Buyatimeshare.com and literally save thousands of dollars on the same vacation property.
A timeshare week on the resale market is worth whatever someone will pay for it. This is unlike the inflated retail prices charged by the resorts. This is an issue that Kogelman hopes to overcome, as the timeshare industry will never reach its potential customers in an online environment without companies like BuyATimeshare.com.
With systems like Timeshare Pulse already in place at BuyATimeshare.com, vacationers can design their own vacations right down to the amount of money they spend on a timeshare. It would be in the developer best interest to embrace the secondary market as the solution it is.
While developers and mainstream resorts are still experimenting with ways to reach the consumer online, the same internet has educated the consumer to look elsewhere. Online companies like BuyATimeshare.com understand how to reach the timeshare buyers and sellers to create a mutually beneficial system. Hopefully, by ARDA World 2013 in Hollywood, Florida, this topic will be recognized as a vital step in the progress of the entire timeshare industry.
