Did you ever wonder where the most popular destinations are for people looking to rent timeshare over the summer months? Well, the answer to that question is right here. Well, a little lower down the page, but you get the idea.

People looking for timeshare vacation options this summer are requesting Aruba and Florida timeshare locations as their most popular beach vacation destinations according to the requests they are placing through our BuyaTimeshare.com website

Along with several industry experts, developers and hoteliers, Wesley Kogelman will be attending the 13th Annual Shared Ownership Investment Conference from October 17 – 19. Kogelman, president and CEO of BuyATimeshare.com, hopes to contribute guidance as an industry leader in the secondary market, as well as listening carefully to further understand the complete picture presented by industry experts at the conference. By attending this event, Kogelman will better the resale industry with valuable knowledge learned from a variety of resources.

Wesley Kogelman will be working directly with developers, homeowner associations, and management companies to learn more about the many different shared ownership business models. In order to better the user experience for all of BuyATimeshare.com clientele, as well as future customers, Kogelman hopes to share ideas with industry leaders to further increase the value of the secondary timeshare market. There are many facets to the fractional and shared ownership concept. And the many segments and guests speakers will build on the future of how we all vacation.

Featured speakers like Jeffrey Ma and noted marketing strategist Peter C. Yesawich, Ph.D, will be sharing their expertise on changing trends in business, technology and consumer activity. Representatives of Smith Travel Research and the American Resort Developers Association (ARDA) will be discussing the current status of the industry. And throughout the day presenters will discuss the future of mixed-used resort, government regulations, and consumer demographics.

Wesley Kogelman has been providing timeshare solutions for over a decade. During this year’s conference he is hoping to make BuyATimeshare.com a more effective resource for timeshare buyers and seller. The 13th Annual Shared Ownership Investment Conference has been aptly themed “A New Perspective,” and will focus on networking and the sharing of ideas. Subjects like the future of shared ownerships like traditional timesharing, fractionals, and private residence clubs will be covered by those who have had success in those segments.

Taking Vacations Despite Higher Costs Is Good News For The Timeshare Industry May 23, 2011

Posted by John Stephens in : News & Events, Timeshare Rental, Travel , add a comment

In another example of the strange post-recession world that we live in, since when do higher travel costs equate to higher numbers of people wanting to go on vacation?

Answer – when people are fed up with staying home and are catching the summer fever.

Numbers released this week by travel site TripAdvisor.com reveal that the higher costs of travel (primarily due to higher gas prices and the flow-on effects to higher airfares and associated expenses) are not deterring people from planning a vacation this summer.

86% of travelers are planning a leisure trip this summer according to the website, up from 83% last year at a time when gas was about a dollar a gallon cheaper than it is now.

That’s great news for the timeshare industry, since these are the people who would factor into timeshare rentals and help boost the bottom line of resorts renting out excess inventory to help defray costs at the resorts. Which helps to keep maintenance fees in check. Which helps keep timeshare as a very attractive, less expensive alternative to hotel resorts. Not to mention the owners who place their timeshare for rent on sites such as BuyaTimeshare.com to cover their maintenance fees and make some cash in the process.

You get the picture.

The travel and tourism industry is more interconnected today than it’s ever been, thanks to the internet and the changing way people book vacations. The more people that take vacations, the better off the entire industry is.

And that doesn’t even factor in the already very high occupancy rates for timeshare, at about 80%, and the high satisfaction rate for the product, at about 84%.

It’s not like these people don’t know their vacation is going to cost more money, as 71% in the TripAdvisor survey say they know they’ll be spending more on their vacations this summer. 17% say they’ll be spending less, which means they’re either cutting back from last year or living under a rock.

People must be pretty frustrated at the thought of another staycation summer of discontent if they are so determined to spend more money to get out of Dodge for a while.

I say bring it on!

Let’s get fired up about vacations this summer. Timeshare is the best vacation option anyway and people looking for great value should be looking on sites such as BuyaTimeshare.com to see what’s available.

It’s about time that people were bold about their timeshare vacation and told their friends and family about the great facilities and excellent experiences they have while staying in a timeshare.

Find out for yourself by clicking here and browsing our website to rent timeshare and come back to tell us about the great time you had during your vacation this summer.

CARE Timeshare Conference Brings Together Industry Members May 17, 2011

If you look closely on the homepage of our website, you’ll see the various business groups that we are a member of as we believe strongly in supporting business and timeshare industry organizations.

The Cooperative Association of Resort Exchangers (CARE) is one of those groups and, while you may not have heard of them, they are one of the best organizations in the timeshare and vacation ownership industry.

Our Sales Director, Peter Emery, attended their latest conference earlier this week in Deerfield Beach, FL, and filled me in on their latest developments.

Now in their 26th year, CARE is a volunteer organization primarily made up of representatives of resorts, travel and vacation clubs and online rental companies who look to network in an effort to find the best vacation inventory possible for their customers. We participate in CARE because of the timeshare rental side of our business since CARE members often look to match up consumer requests for certain vacation destinations with the companies that can fulfill those requests.

These are the people on the front lines of the industry, so to speak, and they work very hard to make people’s vacation dreams come true. They are a fun group of people that knows how to throw a party and the majority of the conference is sponsored in order to keep the costs down. BuyaTimeshare.com was one of those sponsors and we are very proud to be a supporter of CARE.

The conference opened with a fundraising dinner highlighted by a combined live and silent auction that raised $13,500, which was used to offset conference costs. The first day was headlined by Bill Repp of Selling Smart, who facilitated workshops based on developing relationship-building skills in the workplace. The second day saw the president of the American Resort Development Association, Howard Nusbaum, address the group and discuss ways that the national trade association can help CARE improve its efforts to service its various customer and member bases.

There was also an awards dinner and an off-site reggae party that ended the conference on a perfect note.

So why should I tell you about this and why should you CARE about it? Sorry about the pun – not!

Because it is important for you to know that there are thousands of people who work in the timeshare and vacation ownership industry to make your vacations become reality. When you go searching the BuyaTimeshare.com website for a timeshare for sale or a timeshare for rent, there are not only owners advertising their timeshare on our site, but there are also potential vacationers looking for a great place to vacation. Making the connection between the two sometimes takes industry professionals to make that happen, whether it is our account executive creating the  owner’s ad on our website or a representative from another company working on behalf of a potential buyer looking for a timeshare in a specific location. And every possible scenario in-between.

It really is a great industry to be a part of and we’re having a great time with it.

You can take advantage of these timeshare properties for sale and rent by clicking on the BuyaTimeshare.com website here.

Some Serious Timeshare Buyer and Rental Offers Were Generated at BuyaTimeshare.com in 2010 January 18, 2011

Posted by John Stephens in : News & Events, Timeshare Rental, Timeshare Resale , 1 comment so far

$90 million is a significant amount of money, no matter how you look at it. Unless you’re the federal government, but that’s another story.

Today, we’re here to celebrate a very important service that we provide to the thousands of timeshare owners who want to sell timeshare or rent timeshare on our website.

In 2010, we provided $90,435,503 in qualified offers to owners who advertised their timeshare for sale through BuyaTimeshare.com. Over 6,300 confirmed offers were sent to our advertisers thanks to the industry-leading, technological advances of our website. The website’s new technology determines the accuracy of the offer when it is forwarded to the owner, thus, the offer is legitimate and not one that may have been generated in error or because of some type of spam or irregularity in the system.

This technology is what sets us apart from our competition according to our president and CEO, Wesley Kogelman.

“Any company can put numbers on their website saying how many supposed offers came in during the course of the year,” said Kogelman. “Our offers are genuine. Thanks to our advanced software, each potential buyer and renter offer is qualified as it is sent to the owner.”

“This allows us to create a successful platform where owners, buyers and renters can interact without the need for additional commissions, fees or agents,” added Kogelman.

Our average “for sale by owner” offer of $14,197 last year was about 70% of the $20,000 average price of a new timeshare interval, maintaining excellent value for owners.

Rental activity was also impressive, with the BuyaTimeshare.com website generating $5,198,062 to rent timeshare across 4,595 offers. That $1,131 rental price per week would more than cover the cost of an average maintenance fee.

“The average maintenance fee is just under $700 so, with the value that we get for the rental inventory on our site, there’s plenty of cash left over for those owners looking to rent timeshare,” said Kogelman.

Our ability to attract buyers and renters is directly attributed to the substantial resources directed to search engine optimization, which allows us to be number one on sites like Google for terms such as “buy timeshare” and “buy a timeshare”. Chances are you’ve already seen how successful we are online if you’re reading this blog post since you had to find us online in order to read it.

“Timeshare buyers are going to find us, there’s no doubt about that,” Kogelman said. “Staying number one for these search terms is not easy and we spend a lot of time and money marketing our site in this way. But finding buyers is the only way we are able to keep our advertisers happy and that’s the key to our success.”

A great selection of timeshares can be seen on our website at BuyaTimeshare.com. When you go to our homepage, you’ll see a search field in the upper left-hand corner of the site. Just type the name or location of the timeshare you’re looking for and, if we have it advertised, it’ll come right up. You can begin by clicking here.

How The BBB Has Ruined Your Buying and Selling Experience January 12, 2011

ABC News discovers a misleading grading system that has deceived consumers for over 2 years

For decades the Better Business Bureau has been seen as a beacon of truth to those who needed to know the difference between a trustworthy business and a deceptive one. Recently, the BBB has had a light shined on its own operation, as ABC News and 20/20 investigates. Business owners are accusing the bureau of running a “Pay for Play” scheme, extorting money and potential customers from businesses that refuse to purchase a membership.

Many consumers utilize the BBB as a resource to find out which companies they can trust. Unfortunately, over the past 2 years a growing number of entrepreneurs have witnessed a skewed representation of their businesses. Despite resolved complaints and genuine service, without paying a membership fee these owners would never be seriously represented by the BBB. And the consumer is left in the dark and forced to overlook an otherwise reputable company, only to choose the one that bid the highest.

Some Los Angeles-based business owners have already confirmed multiple errors made by the BBB’s grading system. While some have purchased accreditation for non-existent companies, others have proven their point by getting an ‘A’ rating for a known terrorist group. Better Business Bureau executives maintain that the grade was given in error, but an overwhelming number of business owners, and consumers, have come forward to tell their side of a potentially harmful and deceptive business practice.

Company owners are being solicited by a telemarketing racket that promises a better grade for the price of around $400. This fact has been confirmed time and timeshare again by multiple companies nationwide. And without paying this fee, there is no way to get a higher score. BuyATimeshare.com stopped paying for its membership in 2010. Having worked in timeshare resales, this author can attest for the damage it has done to the industry, and to our reputation as an independently owned business.

The acknowledgment of this scam is paramount in an economy that cannot afford to squander it money on those who would rather Pay to Play than to provide a reliable product. BuyATimeshare.com urges consumers to base their buying and selling decisions on more than just a BBB grade, or any website that is designed to embrace the negative power of a complaint.

Wesley Kogelman and Buy A Timeshare.com Help North Ridge Church and its Fill the Bus Food Drive December 1, 2010

In addition to contributions made to the NH Food Bank Wesley Kogelman has teamed up with his local church. Located in Derry, New Hampshire, the NorthRidge Church is hosting the January 2011 Fill the Bus Food Drive.

President and CEO of the local advertising firm BuyATimeshare.com, Kogelman and his company help timeshare consumers. His team allows people to market their properties online and offers a marketplace of affordable vacations for buyers and renters. They are one of the few firms who specialize in timeshare resales.

With a recent food drive resulting in over 3500 pounds of donations, Kogelman is excited to see just how much a school bus will hold. NorthRidge Church fills every seat in their 72-seat passenger bus with bags of groceries. They are delivered to the Salvation Army Food Pantry and Chester Food Pantry following the Holiday rush. Last year both emergency food pantries were depleted over the holidays. The NRC Bus rolled in right after Christmas packed with groceries donated by their church members. They completely filled both pantries just before the sever winter power outages.

Pastor Mike Mills of NorthRidge Church expresses the need for The NRC bus and the importance of contributions from patrons and businesses alike. “We are looking forward to filling up the North Ridge Church Bus again this January. With so many groceries to deliver in our community, we are grateful to Wesley Kogelman and his company for their compassion to help us fill this bus. That means filling a lot of hungry tummies in Southern New Hampshire this January.”
